Waiting for the sun…

To be honest when I first set off in Oct I thought by heading clockwise I’d be south in summer and north in Winter. I’m still loving the adventure but to be honest it’s been tough. When we first set off our first stop was Forster to visit Gran and it was rainy and about 15 degrees. We had the heater going on the first night.

We spent about a week in the Hunter Valley and it was great to have a sunny day for my friends wedding and visit a few places before the rain hit again. NSW was good to us and gave us some great days to explore the blue mountains. Need to get back there and spend some more time exploring. I hear there are some great camps at Glen Davis and Newnes in the Wollemi National Park.

Moving onto VIC and we have had three decent sunny days. It’s been cold and rainy and I’m still sick after two weeks! Patience is wearing thin. I was chatting to a friend the other day and told him I understand why he moved from VIC to sunny QLD!

The sun was trying hard to come out yesterday and I was so excited to explore today… No work…. Let’s go! We know of a WW2 bunker here that has been restored as a museum and some pretty cool headlands and beach caves. Guess what…. IT’S FREAKIN RAINING!

I just want to feel the sun on my skin! Trying very hard to “enjoy the journey” even though it’s been miserable weather, crappy health and confined spaces.

There is only one thing left to do! Head down to the local pub for a wine and to get out of the van.

Although it is good to sit here and reflect on those sunny days and look back through my pics.

Pray for warm sunny weather for me guys!

Hopefully the sun is out tomorrow or we’re exploring in raincoats. We’re onto Eden NSW on Monday.
